We use Dunlop Endro Foam in manufacture, this is a superior quality non memory foam not found in other brands. Our pedestal base units aren’t just painted chipboard but are made from kitchen grade laminate that can be scrubbed and cleaned without fading.

Gel Soft sided Bed, Pedistal Base

Gel beds are an innovation in beds. They are similar to a standard soft sided bed in there construction but instead of an internal baffle they are supplied with a crystal gel that expands when water is added to give a superior stabilized bed system.

the advantage is you can add extra crystals to increase the stability of the bed without changing the mattress. These beds also do not require a heater as the gel itself is a great insulator. We can add a 100 watt Heater to the bed if you think you need some additional warmth but to date we have found them unnecessary.

The most common question is how to move such a bed. It's simply a matter of adding a standard amount of table salt to kill the gel so you can then empty and move the bed simply and easily. You will need to purchase replacement Gel when refilling the bed but this cost is minimal.

We find these beds a better than a latex mattress for the comfort and have the benefit of being fully adjustable. Indeed there is not another bed that can be adjusted like a gel bed.

Relieve the pressure points in a Wheelchair by the innovative use of a Gel pillow. The Gel itself is a insulated to prevent body heat loss but gives better relief to pressure points than a water pillow without the roll away hassle.

The added advantage is you can add extra Gel to increase stability if required.

The Gel is supplied in crystal form. all you need do is pore the crystals into the pillow and the add water to the desired level. The crystals will then activate to the gel state within a few minutes.
